Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is an age-old healing practice that involves placing special cups on the skin to create a suction effect.

Cupping lets me tackle multiple areas of the body simultaneously. I can place cups on one spot while using my hands on another, making it feel like you’ve got two therapists treating you at the same time.

I first learned cupping from my original instructor 21 years ago, who is not only a massage therapist but also a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor. Throughout the years, I've had the chance to work with both fire cups and silicone cups on numerous clients. I currently use silicone cups. Additionally, I've been teaching this technique to massage therapists for several years now.

It's thought to enhance blood circulation, ease muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and support the body's natural healing processes. This therapy can also help with pain relief, improve circulation, and eliminate toxins. People often turn to cupping for issues like chronic pain, muscle tightness, respiratory problems, and stress relief.

After a session, you might notice temporary marks or discoloration on the skin, so it's wise to consider where they might be visible, especially before attending a fancy event.
